  WHAT HAPPENED?

  The Manchester City winger was not included in Gareth Southgate's squad for the European Championships after a poor season. Following his exclusion, Grealish has taken the chance to enjoy a holiday away with his girlfriend. However, it is not just a holiday and the Englishman has taken the chance to work on his fitness, sharing a couple of photos on his Instagram story.

  WHAT GREALISH SAID

  In one Instagram post, Grealish shared he had been out running in 30 degree heat, showing he is fit and ready for the new season. He said: "Late night runs abroad. Nothing better."

• THE BIGGER PICTURE

  Grealish has plenty of work to do to reestablish himself in the Manchester City side. The £100 million player only provided four goal contributions in the Premier League last season and lost his place in the side to Jeremy Doku. He was understandably dropped from the England squad and has responded by working on his fitness over the break, even training at the Juventus academy.
