  The 22-year-old winger has been a model of consistency for the Gunners since making a senior breakthrough and rarely misses games due to physical ailments. He has taken in 184 appearances for the north London outfit and has only ever sat out two games at club level due to fitness problems.

  The has, however, claimed that Saka is still carrying an Achilles problem that dogged him throughout the 2022-23 campaign. He was able to manage that and play through any pain, but Arsenal would prefer to have him performing at 100 per cent.
